All Earth to Him (Psalm 22:27-31) Text: The Psalter, 1912 Music: Gregory D. Wilbur, 2010 All earth to Him her homage brings, The Lord of lords, the King of kings. The ends of all the earth shall hear And turn unto the Lord in fear; All kindreds of the earth shall own And worship Him as God alone. For His the kingdom, His of right, He rules the nations by his might; All earth to Him her homage brings The Lord of lords, the King of kings. Both rich and poor both bond and free, Shall worship Him with bended knee, And children’s children shall proclaim The glorious honor of His Name. The Lord’s unfailing righteousness All generations shall confess, From age to age shall all be taught What wondrous works the Lord has wrought.
2.
Glory Be to God the Father Text: Horatius Bonar, 1868 Music: Gregory D. Wilbur, 2011 Glory be to God the Father, Glory be to God the Son, Glory be to God the Spirit, Great Jehovah, Three in One! Glory, glory, glory, glory, While eternal ages run! Glory be to Him who loved us, Washed us from each spot and stain! Glory be to Him who bought us, Made us kings with Him to reign! Glory, glory, glory, glory, To the Lamb that once was slain! Glory to the king of angels, Glory to the Church’s king, Glory to the king of nations! Heaven and earth, your praises bring; Glory, glory, glory, glory, To the King of glory bring! “Glory, blessing, praise eternal!” Thus the choir of angels sings; “Honor, riches, power, dominion!” Thus its praise creation brings; Glory, glory, glory, glory, Glory to the King of kings!
3.
Now Unto Jehovah (Psalm 29) Text: Vs 1, The Psalter, 1912 & Vs 2-4, Book of Psalms, 1871 Music: Gregory Wilbur, 2009 Now unto Jehovah, ye sons of the mighty All glory and strength and dominion accord Ascribe to Him glory and render Him honor In beauty of holiness, worship the Lord The voice of Jehovah comes down on the waters In thunder the God of the glory draws nig Lo, over the waves of the wide-flowing water Jehovah as King is enthroned on high! The voice of Jehovah is mighty, is mighty The voice of Jehovah in majesty speaks The voice of Jehovah the cedars is breaking Jehovah the cedars of Lebanon breaks Each one in His temple His glory proclaimeth He sat on the flood, He is King on His throne Jehovah all strength to His people imparteth Jehovah with peace ever blesseth His own
4.
Come, Ye Souls Text: Joseph Swain, 1792 Music: Gregory Wilbur, 2004 Come, ye souls by sin afflicted, Bowed with fruitless sorrow down By the broken law convicted Through the cross behold the crown Look to Jesus—mercy flows through Him alone Take His easy yoke and wear it Love will make obedience sweet Christ will give you strength to bear it, While His wisdom guides your feet Safe to glory, where His ransomed captives meet Blessed are the eyes that see Him, Blest the ears that hear His voice Blessed are the souls that trust Him, And in Him alone rejoice His commandments then become their happy choice Sweet as home to pilgrims weary, Light to newly opened eyes Or full springs in deserts dreary Is the rest the cross supplies All who taste it shall to rest immortal rise
5.
Blest is the Man (Psalm 32) Text: Isaac Watts, 1719 Music: Gregory Wilbur, 2008 adapted from The Southern Harmony, 1835 Blest is the man, forever blest, Whose guilt is pardoned by his God; Whose sins with sorrow are confessed, And covered with his Savior’s blood. Blest is the man to whom the Lord Imputes not his iniquities; He pleads no merit of reward, And not on works, but grace relies. From guile his heart and lips are free; His humble joy, his holy fear, With deep repentance well agree, And join to prove his faith sincere. How glorious is that righteousness That hides and cancels all his sins! While a bright evidence of grace Through his whole life appears and shines.
6.
O God Thou Art My God Alone (Psalm 63) Text: James Montgomery, 1822 Music: Gregory D. Wilbur, 2011 O God, Thou art my God alone; Early to Thee my soul shall cry; A pilgrim in a land unknown, A thirsty land whose springs are dry. O that it were as it hath been! When, praying in the holy place, Thy power and glory I have seen, And marked the footsteps of Thy grace. Yet, through this rough and thorny maze, I follow hard on Thee, my God; Thy hand, unseen, upholds my ways; I safely tread where Thou hast trod. Thee, in the watches of the night, When I remember on my bed; Thy presence makes the darkness light, Thy guardian wings are round my head. Better than life itself Thy love, Dearer than all beside to me; For whom have I in Heav’n above, Or what on earth, compared to Thee? Praise with my heart, my mind, my voice, For all Thy mercy I will give; My soul shall still in God rejoice; My tongue shall bless Thee while I live.
7.
Hear My Words (Psalm 5) Text: The Psalter, 1912 Music: Gregory Wilbur, 2009; Adapted from Keine Schonheit hat die Welt by Johann Scheffler, 1657 Hear my words, O gracious Lord, To my thoughts attentive be; Hear my cry, my King, my God, I will make my prayer to Thee. With the morning light, O Lord, Thou shalt hear my voice arise, And expectant I will bring Prayer as morning sacrifice. Thou art holy, O my God, Thou delightest not in sin; Evil shall not dwell with Thee, Nor the proud Thy favor win. In the fullness of Thy grace To Thy house I will repair; Bowing toward Thy holy place, Lost in love I worship there.
8.
Franklin Sanctus Text: Isaiah 6:3, Revelation 4:8, Matthew 21:9 Music: Gregory D. Wilbur, 2009 Holy, Holy, Holy Lord. Holy, Holy God of power and might. Heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is He who come in the Name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest! Amen.
9.
Come, Ye Disconsolate Text: Thomas Moore, 1816 Music: Gregory Wilbur, 2007 Come, ye disconsolate, where’er ye languish; Come to the mercy seat, fervently kneel. Here bring your wounded hearts; here tell your anguish. Earth has no sorrow that heav’n cannot heal. Joy of the desolate, Light of the straying, Hope of the penitent, fadeless and pure! Here speaks the Comforter, tenderly saying, “Earth has no sorrow that heav’n cannot cure.” Here see the Bread of Life; see waters flowing Forth from the throne of God, pure from above. Come to the feast of love; come, ever knowing Earth has no sorrow but heav’n can remove.
10.
Call Jehovah Your Salvation (Psalm 91) Text: James Montgomery, 1822 Music: Gregory Wilbur, 1996 Call Jehovah your salvation, Rest beneath th’Almighty’s shade In his secret habitation dwell, And never be dismayed There no tumult shall alarm you You shall dread no hidden snare Guile nor violence can harm you In eternal safeguard there From the sword at noonday wasting, From the noisome pestilence In the depth of midnight blasting, God shall be your sure defense He shall charge his angel legions Watch and ward o’er you to keep Though you walk through hostile regions Though in desert wilds you sleep Since, with pure and firm affection You on God have set your love With the wings of his protection He will shield you from above You shall call on him in trouble, He will hearken, he will save Here for grief reward you double, Crown with life beyond the grave
11.
Be Thou O God Exalted High (Psalm 57) Text: Nahum Tate & Nicholas Brady, 1696 From A New Version of the Psalms of David Music: Gregory D. Wilbur, 2011 Be thou, O God exalted high; And as Your glory fills the sky, So let it be on earth displayed, Till You are here, as there, obeyed. O God, my heart is fixed; ‘tis bent Its thankful tribute to present; And, with my heart, my voice I'll raise To You, my God, in songs of praise. Awake, my glory; harp and lute, No longer let your strings be mute; And I, my tuneful part to take, Will with the early dawn awake. Your praises, Lord, I will resound To all the listening nations round; Your mercy highest heaven transcends; Your truth beyond the clouds extends.
12.
Mighty Lord, Extend Your Kingdom Text: Joseph Cottle, 1828 Music: Gregory Wilbur, 2008 Mighty Lord, extend Your kingdom Be the truth with triumph crowned Let the lands that sit in darkness Hear the glorious Gospel sound From our borders, from our borders To the world’s remotest bound By Your arm, eternal Father, Scatter far the shades of night Let the great Immanuel’s kingdom Open like the morning light Let all barriers, let all barriers Yield before Your heavenly might Come in all Your Spirit’s power Come, your reign on earth restore In Your strength ride forth and conquer, Still advancing more and more Till all people, Till all people Shall Your holy Name adore
